1. Admit Your Need:
Since we are all sinners, we all need
a Savior.
¡°All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God¡±
(Romans 3:23). ¡°The wages of sin is death¡± (Romans 6:23)
There is no way we can become a Christian by being good
enough or by doing good deeds.
¡°For by grace you have been
saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a
gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one
should boast¡± (Ephesians 2:8-9).

2. Accept Jesus¡¯ Provision:
Jesus was God the Son in human flesh. As man, He was able to die for sin. As God, His death was able to provide for man¡¯s forgiveness. He rose again from the dead and offers forgiveness now.
¡°God made Him (Jesus) who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him¡± (2 Corinthians 5:21).
¡°If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved¡± (Romans 10:9).

3. Receive the Lord Jesus
Christ:
You must turn from all known sin and yield to Him as
Lord of your life.¡°But as
many as received Him, to them He gave the right to
become children of God, even to those who believe in His
name¡± (John 1:12).
By praying a simple prayer of faith
and commitment to God you can become a Christian,
entering into His family.
¡°Dear Jesus, thank you for making
me and loving me, even when I have ignored you and gone
my own way. I realize I need you in my life, and I¡¯m
sorry for my sins. I ask that your death on the cross
pay for my sins too. I ask that You forgive me. As much
as I know how, I want to follow You from now on. Please
come into my life and make me a new person on the
inside.¡±

4. Assurance of Salvation:
Like saying, ¡°I do¡± in a marriage ceremony, accepting
Jesus is just the beginning of a relationship that will
grow and mature as you learn more about Him. That growth
begins with the realizing the fact you now are a child
of God having eternal life.
¡°God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His
Son. He who has the Son has the life. He who does not
have the Son of God does not have the life¡± (1 John
5:11-12).
